Today I decided to walk around town. I walked for 18 miles. Not in a row. I took breaks.
What it took:
- 2 Ripped Fuel pills
- 1 Gary Null AM vitamin
- 5 slices of bread
- 1 small pizza
- 1/2 a Gatorade
- 1 Snapple Iced Tea
- Banana Ice Cream
- I small iced coffee
- 3 15 minute breaks
- 1 hour of body surfing in the ocean to cool off (lost my prescription sun glasses)
- 6 hours of Kitsune Maison music on my iPod Touch.
- 4 Sam Adams beers
I did it to see if I could do it. Actually I wanted to do 27 miles, but I’ll work up to that.
What have I got to show? Two huge blisters on my feet, aching legs, a tan face, and a trip to Lens Crafters for new sunglasses.
What else? Well, I got to meet some people along the way, like the Hot Dog lady (she also sells Snapple), and some locals at the Hat Hatter bar. Interesting folks. One yuppieish woman told me I should have run instead of walked, because that’s a more efficient way to get exercise. Good point. Her boyfriend also said that people who don’t like cereal should be murdered. No kidding. Crazy people
