A nasal spray containing a naturally occurring brain hormone called orexin A reversed the effects of sleep deprivation in monkeys, allowing them to perform like well-rested monkeys on cognitive tests. The discovery’s first application will probably be in treatment of the severe sleep disorder narcolepsy.
I want to perform like a well-rested monkey!

Since I’m on the subject of Speed Racer, does anyone remember the Speed Racer techno song by the Alpha Team? People went chimp-shit for that song back in the day (15 years ago). Here’s the video:
When I was a kid I wasted spent exactly 1567 hours watching the Speed Racer cartoon. Next May the Hollywood version of Speed Racer will hit theaters. Hopefully, it is better than the Scooby Doo and Transformer movies. The trailer looks trippy and the chimp made the movie, so I’m hopeful. Hollywood has burned me before.
Look at this VHS I bought for a dollar at the Sea Bright library. Look at it with your eyes, and know in your heart that it is awesome. Of course, that’s a chimp, not a monkey. “He’s one high tech super chimp & He’s the best super-Ninja secret agent football star monkey hero around.” 3.5 out of 10 stars on IMDB — what do they know? People talk about the credibility of Wikipedia, but the IMDB is no better.
