Okay, this is the craziest shit ever, or close to it

This is nuts! And from 1900’s, so it’s proof we’ve always been a crazy nation. Dogs dressed up in clothes. Bad, awful dogs.

Killing is my business, and business is good…

No not the Megadeth album! “Killing is my business, and business is good…” is the title of an 11′ tall artwork I purchased over the weekend at the Cry Baby Gallery in Asbury Park. The artist is Charlie Owens. Recession be dammed! I saw it and had to have it.

A-Team Countdown Begins

So… they’re making an A-Team movie, due for release in 2009. Read this Yahoo article if you care:

John Singleton, who last yelled cut on Four Brothers, will direct; Michael Bandt and Derek Haas, who helped shoot the lights out with 3:10 to Yuma, are writing the screenplay.

As reported, the movie will follow the basic recipe of the 1983-87 TV series: Take four ex-military men; add one war crime they didn’t commit; mix in chases, pursuits and more chases.

Given the source material, Singleton has promised an action movie, a serious action movie—”wall to wall kicking ass and talking s–t,” as he put it to Collider.com. The film presently is sans actors, A-list, B-team or otherwise, as Singleton himself has made very clear.

“I don’t know who is in the cast yet, so all this bulls–t of who is saying who is this person and who is [this person],” Singleton told Collider.com.

Who would you cast? Here’s who I would cast:

B.A. Baracus: Kimbo Slice. He couldn’t grow a mohawk if he wanted to, but Kimbo is every bit as bad as Mr. T circa 1983, if not badder.

I give up after that.

Sometimes I forget that this blog sort of resembles the A-Team van.

March Music News

I’m overjoyed that Oddio Overplay blogged about my album. I’ve been a huge fan of the Bloggio Oddio for some time, and I’m so happy words can’t describe it.

Wakka Chikka Wakka Chikka - Porn Music For The Masses, Volume 2 is out, and if you like porn or porno music, or just fun music, give it a play. Many of you will remember The Love God by Martinibomb from Volume 1 — the one featuring Don Knotts samples. Don Knotts!!!

I found another LP Cover blog: LP Cover Lover (a perfect name). Lots of great LP covers from years gone by. Nudes (be aware)!

Monone mixes are always excellent and No. 9 is no exception. If you enjoy library, jazz, funk or otherwise groovy music, listen to Monone.

Post modern Garfield parodies

Today I realized that there are quite a few post-modern parodies and edits of Garfield cartoons. Most make Jon look like he is certifiably insane.

garfield minus garfield is a collection of Garfield comic with Garfield removed.

Realfield is Garfield, but with a realistic looking cat.

Fuckfield takes Garfield and gives the characters new and occasionally vulgar dialog.

Lasagna Cat are video interpretations of Garfield comics. I’ve posted this mess before:

The best Super Bowl commercials: Bridgestone

The best Super Bowl commercials were the Bridgestone tire commercials. They were the funniest and the most memorable. The Sales Genie ads were also very memorable but for all the wrong reasons, one of which is Pandas with stereotypical Chinese accents. This page has all the ads.

Fudge Dalek

No, Fudge Dalek is not the name of my new prog/jam band, but it is a confection made by some folks and posted on Flickr:

I love sugary treats and Daleks are pretty interesting. Today I’m glad there’s an internet.
