Mosquito Cell Phone Tones

Have you heard of the “mosquito” cell phone tones? They’re high-pitched ring tones — so high pitched that older folks aren’t supposed to be able to hear them due to the residual hearing loss that comes with age.

Here are the tones. Try them out and see if you can hear them. Surprisingly I can hear the tone for 30-year-olds (it’s quite awful) in spite of being much older than 30. I can’t hear the 24-year-old tones, which makes me think this is more than an urban myth. Can you hear them?

CatGenie

Hey humans! Check out the CatGenie, and then try and tell me we’re not living in the 21st century. It’s a robot that takes care of your cat’s feces!

- CatGenie uses permanent Washable Granules that never need changing
- For your cats, it’s like using a clean box of cat-comfy, normal-size cat box filler
- For you, CatGenie works like a modern washing-drying, cat toilet appliance
- After a one-time, simple DIY hook up to water, you’re set
- Push a button or preset CatGenie Cat Box to start automatically
- Used and recommended by veterinarians, nationwide

And I imagine you’ll save money in the long run, by not buying as much litter.

Editing your location on Google Maps

Will It Blend: The Holiday Edition

I need to add a Blendtec Blender to my real Christmas list. In this episode of Will It Blend, the dude blends Christmas hassles.

“Fruitcake smoke; don’t breathe this.”

Adult Swim does not equal South Park

I added a Google translation widget to the side bar for shits and giggles, and after running the site through a French translation I discovered that Google thinks Adult Swim (the late night cartoon show on Cartoon Network) equals South Park (you know South Park). See for yourself. Did I discover an Easter Egg planted by one of their coders, or an educated glitch?

Google thinks Adult Swim is South Park

OK, that was boring.

Zombie Promo

Tokyo Flash Zombie Promo

Tokyo Flash sells some interesting watches. They’re like from the future. I own a few, but the value of the US dollar is preventing me from buying more, or at least buying them all willy nilly. Any way, they’re running some kind of Zombie promotion for Halloween. And Zombies are awesome.
