I got into a conversation about unique American catalogs last week, and it led to a conversation about Figi’s Catalogs, like this one. Figi’s sells candy, cakes, petit fours, mini-sausages, cheeses, roasted nuts, marzipan fruits, and spreads, configured into various gift packages.
My favorite Figi’s “food gift” is The Grandstand. It contains 7 pounds and 8 ounces of the following: 38 cheeses, 12 sausages, 8 petit fours, 1 bowl of nuts, hard candies, gum drops, 4 marzipan fruits, these chocolate log things, other bowls of candies, and a few jars of stuff.
Could you imagine eating one of these things all at once? I could.
