More Screenwipe episodes have found their way onto YouTube. Screenwipe is a British TV program that eviscerates and dissects the medium of television. Screenwipe’s no bullshit presenter, Charlie Brooker, is honest, hilarious and informative. I wish there was a U.S.A. version. In spite of the fact that Screenwipe is a British show, I still enjoy it immensely.
Charlie Brooker’s Screen Wipe is another excellent BBC 4 show. Each episode Charlie takes us on a no bullshit tour of British television (a lot of which is American TV, like Heros). No bullshit equates to plenty of laughs. The closest thing America has to Screen Wipe is Talk Soup, the difference is Talk Soup is all gags, while Screen Wipe contains actual substance and criticism. When I watch Screen Wipe I’m certain I’ve learned something as well as had a few good laughs.
Season 4 has begun. Episode 1 takes on Heros, so American viewers should enjoy it.
