My brain is chocked full of marginally useless information.
My friend Jordan posted this video on Facebook…
… Entertaining as it is, it isn’t a Funny Bollywood Fight Scene, as the title on YouTube page claims — it’s a Funny Tollywood Fight Scene. What’s Tollywood, you ask? Tollywood refers to the Telgu language film industry centered in the Andhra Pradesh area of India. Hyderabad is a famous city in Andhra Pradesh. The difference between Tollywood and Bollywood, is like the difference between New York City and Hollywood — different parts of a large country and different vibes.
The lead actor in the video is Rajnikanth, who is most famous for the Tollywood film Adhisaya Piravi which is most famous for the “Little Superstar” clip.
Rajnikanth is the guy on the couch, not the tiny guy doing the dance.
Back to the video Jordan posted. That clip is from the film Chandramukhi. I figured that out by checking the links posted on Rajnikanth’s Twitter feed.
IMDB links: Rajnikanth, Chandramukhi, Adisaya Piravi.
Wikipedia links: Tollywood, Andhra Pradesh.
But wait, there’s more! There’s a Rajnikanth fans social network, in fact, here’s the same video clip of the funny fight scene on that site, so you know it’s legit.
