Physics of Superheros

I found this lecture by Dr. Jim Kakalios on the physics of superheros to be super entertaining. There are several others on YouTube. And, there’s a book you can buy. I bought a superused copy on Amazon.

Thanks to The Total Recall for the tip.

String Theory and M Theory

I suppose String Theory and M Theory is pretty boring stuff for most people, but I find it amusing. Right before I fall asleep I watch this stuff — it gives me some wicked dreams. Here’s some videos for you.

Before I watched the video I thought “this is going to be cool”, but then after watching the video I thought “that’s kind of sad”.

20 Things You Didn’t Know About Living In Space

20 Things You Didn’t Know About Living In Space.

Exploding boobs, toilet target practice, the second birth…

Good article, especially for sci-fi fans who are pedantic in regards to scientific facts about space. I was kind of surprised that Discover Magazine would use the term “boobs”, but I guess once you shove plastic bags inside your chest, they really do become “boobs” don’t they.
