Action Comics # 1 was released a little over 70 years ago. Do you think it’s creators would have imagined that 70 years later people would be spending over a billion dollars per year going to see superhero movies? I doubt it — I’m sure when Joe and Jerry created Superman they were just trying to make a living in the comic business.

I found this lecture by Dr. Jim Kakalios on the physics of superheros to be super entertaining. There are several others on YouTube. And, there’s a book you can buy. I bought a superused copy on Amazon.

A Nad Shot = A strike to a man’s gonads. A Nad Shot Website = a website filled with dozens, if not hundreds of pictures from pop culture of men taking shots to their gonads. Funny to some, painful to others. Safest when it’s a cartoon. Even Wolverine isn’t safe; well, at least we know they’ll grow back in his case.
